My work pursuedes viewers to find the beauty in raw common wood.  Often, the wood I use is from broken furniture, or discarded leftovers from fine wood craft.  In fact, I like the wood that is mostly rejected by woodworkers.  Those interesting twists of the grain delight me, and become focal points within the sculpture.

Wood has a willingness to be transformed, making it the perfect medium for carving into movement and life - in a tapestry of wood. 

For me, living with beautiful objects that pay tribute to the natural world reminds me to slow down and connect with nature.  My art reminds people that we are all transformable - that broken is an opportunity to be something else, even more beautiful.
